The Vegetable Garden is one of the park's attractions where learning and play come together, allowing children to discover in a fun and natural way where their vegetables come from.
What is a vegetable garden?
A vegetable garden is a piece of land where you grow vegetables, fruit and herbs to harvest and enjoy yourself. Different vegetables are usually planted in separate beds or rows, giving every plant enough space, sunlight and room to grow.
Growing vegetables from seed to harvest
The Vegetable Garden at Adventure Farm Molenwaard is filled with all kinds of vegetables growing side by side. A member of our team is regularly on hand to explain how everything grows and what it takes to care for a healthy vegetable garden. Children learn in an easy and engaging way where their food comes from and how the weather, the soil and proper care all play an important role in a successful harvest.
Plant your own seed
Together with one of our team members, you'll plant your very own seed. You'll then be able to take your little plant home as a lasting reminder of your day at Adventure Farm Molenwaard and continue watching it grow. For many children, this is their very first introduction to gardening and a fun inspiration to start a vegetable garden at home with the whole family.
