Bird watching hut
Shh... Become a real birdwatcher and use a pair of binoculars to spot the birds around you. But be careful, if you make too much noise, the birds will fly away! TheBird Watching Hut is one of the quietest places at Adventure Farm Molenwaard, where you can relax and enjoy nature while searching for birds in the surrounding landscape.
Spot birds like a real birdwatcher
At the very back of the park, you'll find the Bird Watching Hut. From here, you can quietly scan the area with binoculars and look for all kinds of birds, from small garden birds to larger species that live in the surrounding countryside. Because the hut is tucked away in a peaceful spot, you'll often only notice the birds once you've sat quietly and taken the time to look around.
Being quiet is the key
The quieter you are, the more birds you're likely to see. It's a fun lesson in patience for the whole family and a relaxing change of pace from the park's more active attractions. Some families even turn it into a game: who can spot the most different bird species during their visit to the hut?
Which birds can you spot in the Dutch polder landscape?
The Dutch polder is home to many meadow and water birds. Keep an eye out for species such as the black-tailed godwit, northern lapwing, Eurasian oystercatcher and common redshank, all of which are characteristic of these open landscapes. You may also spot mute swans, great crested grebes, great cormorants and several species of ducks on and around the water. And if you're lucky, you might even see a common buzzard or a common kestrel soaring overhead in search of prey.
